Supporting Your Travelers Around the World
Published on Tuesday, August 25, 2015
Taking responsibility for travelers anywhere in the world is a big charge. You want to provide the best travel experience for your clients, while protecting them from the risks that are inherent with travel. One way to do that is to make sure their travel insurance needs are met.
At RoamRight, we’re steeped in the travel industry, and some of the most knowledgeable authorities on travel insurance are on our team. We believe that understanding travel insurance should be easier than learning a new language, and we’re committed to simplifying this often-confusing product. You should be able to focus on your travelers and booking amazing travel plans, not on explaining the ins and outs of the insurance industry. So, rely on us; we’ve got you covered when it comes to travel insurance.
To that end, we’ve gathered some of the best and most comprehensive travel resources to help you support your clients. And when you need more information, or have a question, we want to be your resource.

Start with these extensive sites; these two governmental links have a multitude of links to a variety of valuable resources.

Here is another extremely useful resource: Do your travelers know about the STEP program? The Smart Traveler Enrollment Program, managed by the U.S. Department of State, is a free service for U.S. citizens. Travelers can enroll in this program and get travel alerts and warnings for their destination country and register their contact information. This allows the U.S. Embassy to contact them in the event of an emergency (think natural disaster or civil unrest). It also gives travelers’ families the ability to locate them in the event of an emergency, and ensure they arrive back home safely.

The U.S. DOS Bureau of Consular Affairs also maintains a list of Travel Alerts & Warnings. Travelers can search by location or review the entire list.

The same department also hosts a website for travelers to get help in the event of an emergency, anything from lost or stolen passports to a natural disaster.

One of the most useful travel resources is the RoamRight mobile app. With the mobile app, travelers have access to all of these important resources in one place. As a partner, you can get access to all of the features in this award-winning app available on the App Store and Google Play. With detailed destination and security information, this should be your go-to resource for up-to-the-minute travel, health and security advice and information.
And finally, we’ve gathered links to a few other web resources with less critical information that your travelers may find useful.
