Just as every traveler has his or her own personality, each form of accommodation is just as unique. From budget to luxury, here are a few explanations of the big three in lodging: Hotels, Hostels, and Apartments.
Hotels have the widest variety when it comes to your vacation budget. From 1 to 5 stars and different levels of amenities, there are a few things that stay the same across the board. Many people prefer to head to a hotel as a way to have a private room to themselves. Even the most budget motel will provide a private bathroom. A huge perk to this style of accommodation is the possibility for all-inclusive packages and housecleaning services that will keep your room fresh and clean.
Apartment rentals can be middle ground when it comes to the cost of your lodging. Unless you’re renting out a mansion beach house, most often the houses and apartments can be cheaper than hotels. Unlike hotels, you do have to clean after yourself but you have an entire place rather than just one room. Most often a rental will not only give you the opportunity to experience culture in a neighborhood but also give you your own space to cook in a kitchen.
The cheapest of the three, hostels are a fabulous way to save money and keep your vacation cheap. Prices do tend to vary but many locations offer the opportunity to stay in a dorm or have a private room (and sometimes with your own bathroom). Many hostels are family friendly but they do tend to attract a younger set of travelers that can keep the location a bit rowdy. This experience is all about shared spaces and you often have the chance to cook your own food in a kitchen.
