When you want to soak in all the sights along the way to your destination, a road trip is the way to go. Being in the familiarity of a car for the majority of the trip, many people forget that trips don’t have to include air travel to warrant purchasing travel insurance.
If you want to supplement your primary insurance and protect your travels, RoamRight offers road trip insurance to meet your needs.
If your road trip is taking you more than 100 miles away from home, Arch RoamRight can provide protection for medical emergencies. Some traditional health plans may not cover care received in other states, so even domestic travelers may need to consider purchasing a travel medical insurance policy. Arch RoamRight is able to provide medical coverage for trips 180 days in length or less, so even if you plan a cross-country drive, you can be protected the whole way.
Beyond providing coverage in the event of a medical emergency, all Arch RoamRight insureds have access to a 24/7 emergency assistance line that puts trained emergency travel assistance providers at your fingertips.
Arch RoamRight’s Auto Rental Insurance Plus plan gives you the protection you need when you rent a car on your trip. Often, when you rent a vehicle, the rental company will ask you to purchase their collision damage coverage. This can be expensive, often provides very few benefits, and you may not have the time to review the policy to make an informed decision. Arch RoamRight’s Auto Rental Insurance Plus policy gives you coverage, within limitations, for damage to the car resulting from:
The Auto Rental Insurance Plus plan also provides baggage coverage up to the benefit limit in the case that your personal effects are lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed during your trip – provided you have taken all reasonable measures to protect, save and/or recover your property at all times.
However, if you choose to not rent a car for your road trip, Arch RoamRight travel insurance does not offer coverage for personal vehicles.
To learn more about the coverages and the related benefit limits for the Auto Rental Insurance Plus plan, please refer to the policy.
Should an occasion arise that prevents you from traveling to or remaining in your destination, travel insurance may be able to provide a Trip Cancellation benefit. The Trip Cancellation benefit offered in Arch RoamRight’s travel insurance plans can help protect nonrefundable payments that you plan to make on your trip, such as hotels, tours, and packages.
Some limitations apply when filing a claim for trip cancellation insurance. However, our Cancel for Any Reason upgrade allows you to make a cancellation insurance claim for any and all reasons.
