Four Surprising Adults-Only Disney Experiences

It's a common misconception that Disney is just for kids, but many adults who don't have children also enjoy the Disney experience. Whether it's a trip to one of the Disney theme parks, embarking on a Disney Cruise or booking an Adventures By Disney package, the House of Mouse appeals to fans of all ages. It might even surprise you to know there are a few Disney experiences where children are not necessarily welcome. Here's a look at four adults-only Disney experiences.

Victoria and Albert's

Located at the Grand Floridian Spa and Resort, securing a reservation at Victoria and Albert's restaurant can be more difficult than some three Michelin-starred restaurants elsewhere in the world. The Victorian-themed dining hall recreates some of the finest spots of London and Paris, while the cozy Chef's Table is highly sought after. Victoria and Albert's has a world-class wine list with over 700 selections available. Not surprisingly, the dress code is strictly enforced.

Richard Petty Driving Experience

If your Disney vacation includes a stop at Walt Disney World, there is an exhilarating option for adrenaline junkies. How about a ride in a 600HP NASCAR racecar? Partake in a ride-along experience or take the reins and sit behind the wheel for everything from 8 laps to a custom $2,599 racing experience package that gives racers 50 heart-pumping laps. If the idea of NASCAR doesn't excite you, what about getting behind the wheel of something a bit more exotic a Ferrari or Lamborghini perhaps?

Drink at Epcot

While kids are obviously allowed to visit the Epcot Park at Walt Disney World, you must be at least 21 if you want to imbibe. Each of the lands in Epcot's World Showcase features alcoholic beverages. From a biergarten in Germany to fine wines in France, you can easily spend an entire day enjoying the food and beverages in Epcot. It's so popular in fact that people put together drinking-around-the-world themed vacations. If you visit in the Fall, Epcot hosts a huge Food and Wine Festival that is certainly worth checking out as well.

Private Tours and Adult-Oriented Amenities

Disney offers a number of tours that requires guests be at least 16 years of age or older. Look for backstage tours, VIP experiences and other events that allow you to explore Walt Disney World on a different level.

In addition to private tours, look for high-end adult-oriented amenities at some of Disneys resorts. Spa treatments, golf packages (Walt Disney World has four golf courses) and private yacht charters are just a few of the options available.

Which one of these adult-only experiences interests you the most?
