Meteorologists are already calling Winter Storm Nemo a “blizzard of historic proportions,” and comparing it to the blizzard of 1978.For travelers in New England, more than two feet of snow is expected in some areas, meaning that your trip could possibly be delayed or even cancelled. As airports and train stations are shut down, we first encourage you to find someplace safe to ride out the storm with plenty of supplies in case of an extended loss of power.
In regards to your trip and your RoamRight travel insurance plan, please review your insurance description of coverage that was provided by email when you enrolled. In order for weather to affect trip cancellation coverage, there must be “a complete cessation of services of Your Common Carrier for at least 24 consecutive hours.” If you are still able to meet your scheduled departure, trip cancellation and interruption benefits will not apply.
