Travel Insurance for your Adventure Vacation
Take a walk on the wild side in confidence with RoamRight’s travel insurance policies for adventures. Get coverage baggage, medical costs, and more.
Adventure travel insurance, or Hazardous Sports Coverage, covers a broad range of activities – from bungee jumping and hang gliding to rock climbing and spelunking – and it’s important to make sure you have the right travel insurance plan for your activities.
Why Adventure Travel Insurance?
There are some activities that are not covered under many base travel insurance plans. These are types of activities that naturally come with a higher risk for injuries.
Specialized Benefits of Adventure Travel Insurance
Many Arch RoamRight policies come with an optional Hazardous Sports Upgrade that is important for any extreme sports vacation. Additional baggage coverage protects important belongings and expensive equipment like skis and SCUBA gear. Higher medical evacuation can be helpful if you’re participating in an activity in a
remote location.
Insurance for Hazardous Sports
Even more extreme adventure travelers can still get travel insurance. Arch RoamRight’s Hazardous Sports Upgrade covers activities like:
- Bungee jumping
- Caving / Spelunking
- Hang Gliding
- Ice Climbing (where ropes or guides are normally used, up to 15,000 feet)
- Mountaineering (where ropes or guides are normally used, up to 15,000 feet)
- Parachuting
- Paragliding / Parapenting
- Rock climbing (where ropes or guides are normally used, up to 15,000 feet)
- SCUBA Diving (involving underwater breathing apparatus - OR - if PADI or NAUI certified, to depths below 130 feet)
- Skydiving
You may want to check our list of covered activities to ensure that you choose the right travel insurance plan.
